I've only used this brand of grass for my 2 kitties to graze upon. They're addicted. If there's none rest they aren't very happy and they eat my cat-safe house plants. So I'm pretty diligent at this point, haha.
My process: got a sowing container (an old ziploc plastic container which I melted holes on the bottom with a soldering iron). This sits perfectly on a ceramic planter that just happens to be a perfect fit. On top of the leca goes my substrate, which is a mix of Coco coir, perlite, and some plain dirt/soil. I wet it a bunch, mix it up, add the seeds on top, then place another ½" or so of substrate on top. Within 3-5-ish days there's fresh grass!
Whenever I see that the blades are nearing the end of their life I start cycling a new batch. I also re-use the leca and soil mixture, but only after the grass bundle is good and dry so I can pull the old stringy root bits.
Thank you for the best seeds- I have basically 100% success rate with them.
I'm going to try cat nip with the order I'm about to place. Thanks again!!
