Organic coco coir is a peat moss alternative, made from the husk of coconuts. This completely renewable resource helps stop the destruction of natural peat bogs. Coco coir helps prevent over watering and promotes strong root growth. Coco Coir is compressed into a 1.5lb brick. When water is added it will break apart and expand up to 8 times its size.

Coco Coir bricks work fantastic!

Thunder Acres coco coir bricks work fantastic. I place the coir brick in a 5 gallon bucket and add a gallon of spring water. The coir absorbs all the water and expands approximately half of the bucket volume. I mix the coir 50/50 with garden soil, add some perlite and vermiculite, to make my own planting soil mix.

Premium coir with high absorption when hydrating, gives you a nice fluffy product. I love that I can buy in bulk and get it cheaper than Amazon.
